ARTIST STATEMENT:

The "wandering" series tracks the artist's journey to find open spaces and room to move between "the trees" around her home -- room to roam and breathe through the busyness of life. Abstract expressionist by nature, these wanderings evolved spontaneously while gazing at those open spaces between the trees as the seasons changed from summer-to-fall-to-winter (2021-22). Yoga practice, breath work and prayer also influence the creation of this body of work.

Erin Palazzolo Loparo, MS-ATR is a practicing artist, art teacher and registered art therapist. She has generated through commission scientifically-inspired artworks for Harvard Medical School and is a Visual Artist carrying out a grant for Brookline Early Education Program. She and her family have resided in Brookline for the past 15 years. Since moving to Brookline, Grace Callan has been her long-time stylist.
