CHARACTER PUPPETS
Often, it is easier for a child to project their feelings on to a safe object like a toy or handmade puppet to act out their concerns and hopes.

1) Using a Lunchtime Doodle video from Mo Willems, my children created their own character puppets using paper, crayons and marker.

2) They cut them out and attached them to popsicle sticks and paper towel/toilet paper rolls.
3) What proceeded were original skits of their own inventing; also, a way for them to interact cooperatively as siblings/a family and crack lots of jokes too!
